When driving in the UK, where do you need to display the tax disc which shows that the annual road tax has been paid?
Correct Answer: The windowscreen of the car
Until October 2014, all motor vehicles in the UK were required to display a tax disc on the front windscreen of the car to show that annual Vehicle Excise Duty (road tax) had been paid.
The disc had to be displayed on the nearside (left) of the windscreen.
In 2014, paper tax discs were abolished — vehicle tax is now checked digitally using the vehicle's registration plate. However, road tax must still be paid for most vehicles.
