When did Ireland become unified with England, Wales and Scotland?
Correct Answer: In 1801
The Acts of Union 1800 merged the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Kingdom of Ireland, creating the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland on 1 January 1801.
This union lasted until 1922, when most of Ireland became the Irish Free State (later the Republic of Ireland).
The six counties of Northern Ireland remained part of the UK, which became the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
